  • Can I get a work/school note from NormanMD?

    A NormanMD physician can provide you with an absence note for your school or employer when requested during a visit. You may view, download and/or print this note at any time from your NormanMD account by clicking on the associated visit in your Visit History.

  • How many members are included in a Family Plan?

    NormanMD Family Plans cover up to 4 people, including the account holder. You may purchase access for additional family members at a low, per person, add-on fee.

  • I have insurance. Is NormanMD still a good option for my family?

    A NormanMD family plan is a great supplement to your existing insurance coverage. Our physicians can help to determine if an in person visit is needed and give guidance on treatment at home -helping you to avoid unnecessary costs for visits to the emergency room or urgent care facilities. On demand access to a pediatrician means you have additional support when your PCP is unavailable.

  • Will insurance cover my visit?

    Your NormanMD plan covers 24/7 on-demand access to virtual visits with our pediatric and adult medicine physicians. There are no additional co-pays or fees.

    Any prescriptions or in-person services ordered or recommended are billed to your insurance by the pharmacy or clinic where you render those services. Such as for:

    • lab work
    • imaging
    • testing
    • in person office visits

    Please reach out to your insurance provider with any questions about coverage for these services.

  • Are there any copays or surprise fees when I talk to pediatricians?

    No. All NormanMD visits are covered by your plan fee.

  • Can I cancel my NormanMD membership?

    NormanMD plan fees are non-refundable.

    If you are on an Individual Monthly or Family Monthly Subscription Plan and would like to cancel your service, you may do so by clicking on "My Account" from the main menu, then selecting the "Change Plan" button on the "Manage Subscriptions" tab. You will see a hyperlink for "Cancel Plan."

    Once you confirm cancellation, you will retain access to all services until the end of the billing cycle. At the end of your billing cycle, your plan will not auto renew and your account will become inactive. You will not be able to start new visits but you will still have access to your visit history.

    If you are on a Family-365 plan, your access to the service is active until the end of your plan year. Your plan does not auto-renew. To cancel, simply allow the current plan to expire. If you would like to re-subscribe to NormanMD at a later time, log into your existing account and visit the "Manage Subscriptions" tab under "My Account" to choose a new plan.

  • Can I get a prescription if needed?

    NormanMD physicians can order prescriptions when they are determined to be medically necessary. Start a visit and the doctor will discuss the details of your child's condition and work with you to develop the right treatment plan.

  • How does NormanMD work with my pediatrician?

    A summary is sent to the primary care physician you add to your child’s medical information page after every visit. This ensures that their doctor stays in the loop with their care!
